THE STANLEY ROAD ALLOTMENT IS 3.93 HECTRES (OR JUST UNDER 10 ACRES) IN SIZE WITH 204 PLOTS AND JUST OVER 150 TENANTS. THE SITE IS SHARED BY CARSHALTON LAVENDER, THEREFORE 80% IS ALLOCATED TO ALLOTMENT GARDENING. IN THE LAST YEAR THERE HAS BEEN A HUGE INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE ACQUIRING PLOTS.Our allotment was one of the 81 groups across London which was successful in the recent round of National Lottery Awards announced in the Awards for All press release on the 8th Decmeber 2008 under the heading "Community Groups Strike it Rich after Lottery Awards." We were the standard bearer for Sutton.
